• If Scrabble is your game, on the second Wednesday of every month the Scrabble Club meets at the Cos Cob library (5 Sinawoy Road, Cos Cob, 622-6883) from 11:00-1:00. No need to call ahead, just appear for a good time.
   

• If you are considering a dog portrait, Amanda Jones (page 281), who grew up in Greenwich and is now one of our nation's top animal photographers will be in New York on February 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I just read Anna Quindlen's book "Good Dog. Stay." and many of the photographs in the book are Amanda's. They are so poignant and sweet, you and your dog will love this photographer.
